Marie has been with Lady Yotas since almost day one, and continues to be a wealth of knowledge and a go-to resource for women in off-road. Thank you for all you do for this community!

In 2019, I found my love for off-roading with my silver 4Runner, Tobias, while in New Orleans. The next year, my adventures really took off when I relocated to San Diego.

Understanding the need for a supportive space for women in off-roading, I founded SoCal Missfits, an all-female off-roading group, in 2021. Since then, we have grown to embrace a diverse range of vehicles and women from across Southern California. In 2023, Tobias retired, and I welcomed Laveau, a 2024 4Runner TRD ORP in Underground.

Throughout my journey, I have developed and now instruct a beginner’s Off-Road Recovery & Safety Course. I’ve also been active in the community through beach and trail clean-ups, supported various initiatives, collaborated with multiple brands, won several car shows, and served as a recovery rig.

My military background and experience as a first responder have provided me with the skills to lead under pressure, adapt to challenges, and foster teamwork, qualities I contribute to the off-roading community.
